Udupi : Two days State level Konkani Sahithya Sammelana will be inaugurated at R.S.B. Sabha Bhavan, Manipal on March 20, 2021.
Addressing a press meet at Udupi Press Club here on Thursday, March 5, Ganesh Prasad Nayak said that the Konkani Sahitya Sammelana will be begins with Shobha Yatre from Syndicate Circle, Manipal which will be inaugurated by T.Ashok Pai Entrepreneur of Manipal at 3.00pm and to be culminated at R S B Bhavan.
In order to organize the Konkani Sahithya Sammena, the committee has been formed. Gokuldas Nayak Honorable President, Konkani Sahithya Academy president as president, Mahesh Takoor as Working President, Amruth Shenoy as General Secretary, General Convener Purnima Suresh, Honorable Convener Kuhiladi Suresh Nayak and other personalities are in the committee.
After the Shoba Yatre, the Konkani Sahithya Sammelan will be inaugurated and there will be several programmes are organized. The personalities from 40 various castes of Konkani speaking are participate from around the world, he said.
During the programme, various personalities including Ananthnag will be felicitated for their various achievements. Two days programme will include Kavigosti, Kathagosti, Sangeetagosti and other entertainment and cultural programmes, he said.
He said that Konkani has been the mother language of three major religions people of the country. This is not only the language but also the language of unity and equality. Hence, these Sammelans will be helpful and needed also, he said.
The valedictory function will be held on 21st March, 2021 which the state ministers and other top personalities will be attended in the concluding programme.
Ganesh Nayak Shiriyara, Vasanth Nayak, Poornima Suresh Nayak, Geetha Ravi Shet, Joseph Rebello and others were present during the press meet.
