Apex bodies and Expartiate associates bid fitting farewell to renowned community leader and social worker .

Qatar: Divakar Poojary after 36 years of residency in Qatar decided to return to India .He was the only Indian to serve as General Secretary with three apex bodies under the aegis of Embassy of India -Indian Cultural Center (ICC), Indian Community Benevolence Forum(ICBF), Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC). In addition he has also served as  subcommittee member of newly formed another apex body  Indian Sports Center(ISC ). He was the  President of Tulukoota Qatar in two terms and he is also the Founder President of Billawas Qatar

Farewell by Apex bodies:
ICC,ICBF,IBPC AND ISC have organised a farewell at the Ashoka Hall of Indian Cultural Center(ICC). with limited gathering was of Presidents ,current MC members and Past Presidents due to the covid protocol.
ICBF President Ziad Usman,IBPC President Azim Abbas,ICC Past Presidents Manikantan,Milan Arun,Girish Kumar,ICBF Vice President Vinod Nair,ICC Past Vice President and General Secretary Seenu Pillai have recalled cherished memories and shared their good experiences with Divakar Poojary . Two best attributes of his personality in any organizations he served as community leader are a smiling face and calmness. ICC Vice President   Subramanya Hebbagilu chaired the event  and conveyed the message from ICC President PN Babu Rajan. The event was conducted by ICC General Secretary Krishnakumar.
Apex body leaders presented memento to Divakar Poojary as a token of appreciation for his outstanding contribution to the Indian community.

TuluKoota Qatar Bid Adieu to one of its pillars Divakar Poojary:
In view of the continued covid restrictions Tulukoota Qatar organised farewell evening at Hotel Zaitoon. President Chaitali Uday Shetty welcomed the gathering and expressed her gratitude for the yeomen service rendered by Divakar Poojary  to Tulukoota Qatar as Committee member ,President and as Advisor. Patron and Past President Ravi Shetty presented the farewell address giving in depth details of Divakar Poojary  highlighting his special humanitarian qualities such as patience, calmness  and contributions to maintain unity and harmony wherever he worked specially with Tulukoota. Sr.Member and Past ICC President Milan Arun,Past ICC President Girish Kumar,Past ICC Vice President Seenu Pillai,Karnataka Sangha President Nagesh Rao ,Advisory Chairman Asmath Ali,Past President Seetharam Shetty, KMCA/SKMWA Past President and Koota Past Vice President Abdulla Monu ,Past Bunts Qatar President Navneeth Shetty,Sr.Member and Past MC Member Archana Navaneeth, Sr.Member Yashpal Puthran  spoke and all have echoed the same sentiments highlighting Divakaranna’s  unique humanitarian and social service apart from his contributions as a community leader. Further rich tributes were offered theough  audio clips by Founder President Vaman Maroly,Past President P.B.Hege,Founder members Iqbal Manna and Shankar Shetty.

President and Committee members ,Advisors and regular supporter Chidananda Naik have felicitated Divakaranna and bestowed him with an apt award “ KADALAAYEREDA KADIREMUDI “ in recognition of long selfless dedicated service to Tulukoota and to the expatriate community as a whole.

A souvenir titled "Glimpses of 36 years in Qatar " was released . This unique souvenir consists of special moments ,leaders and community members tributes with precious photographs.  Cultural Secretary Chaitali Suhas Shetty took the lead in compiling the memories and she also conducted interactive session with Divakar Poojary  involving the audience .During which Divakar Poojary  recalled some of the cherished moments and thanked Koota President and all the concerned for their cooperation and support .
Tulukoota General Secretary Naveen Shetty proposed vote of thanks in his own unique way.  Manjappa Karigar as MC of the event too highlighted the great contributions of Divakar Poojary. Vice President Sandesh Anand , MC Members Girish Puranik,Sagar Kotian. Chandrashekar Shetty  and other volunteers  have provided the background support. Event ended by serving sumptuous dinner .

Billawas Qatar organised grand farewell to its Founder President :
Billawas Qatar  organised a fitting farewell to its Founder President Divakar Poojary,a well known community leader and social worker. President Raghunath Anchan in his welcome address also briefed Divakar Poojary’s significant contribution  for the formation of Billawas Qatar and his constant support and requested him to continue to be the guiding force even though he is not in Qatar.
President and committee members have felicitated Divakar Poojary with the presence of newly elected Vice President of Indian Cultural Center Subramanya Hebbagilu. Billawas Qatar  have honored him with the Award "Billawa Seva Manikya" as a token of gratitude for his selfless service to the expatriate community at large.

All have showered words of appreciation for the outstanding social service rendered by Divakar Poojary during the last so many years.

KABHI ALVIDA NAKAHENA BY Ilesa
Ilesa based in Bangalore established to promote Kannada/Tulu Literature and music across the globe have taken the initiative to organise a farewell event to Divakar Poojary considering his dedicated service to promote native culture in Qatar soil in addition to his community service. One of the pillars of ILesa Kannada/Tulu Poet Shantharam Shetty outlined the sequence of events in coordination with Ravi Shetty. Event began with a prayer "Janaki Jane" by the renowned singer Rameshchandra . Event was anchored articulately by Shantharam Shetty. Entrepreneur and community leader Ravi Shetty in his address " walk down memory lane" spoke very elaborately of the many facets of Divakar Poojary’s well rounded personality and so did by the Chief Guest Sarvotham Shetty , Guests of Honour Milan Arun,Abdulla Monu,Rammohan Rai,V.S.Mannangi,Jerald D’Mello ,Community leader from Oman Dr.Anchan,Bahrain Billawas Past President Ajith Bangera,Karnataka Sangha President Nagesh Rao,KMCA Past President Sayyad Assadi,Tulukoota President Chaitali Shetty,MCC President Sunil D’Selva,SKMWA President Abdul Majeed,Bunts Qatar Presidsent Dr.Padmashree  Shetty, Tulukoota Founder Treasurer P.S.Pai,Sr.Member Alfred Sequera  and Ex Qatar talented Roopesh from Bahrain . In between these talks by various community leaders and friends  ILesa’s popular singers and pillars Rameshchendra ,Sudhakar Shetty and Premalatha Divakara rendered some soulful songs. Divakar Poojary in his address thanked ILesa and shared his memorable experience of Qatar.

ICC Past President Girish Kumar and other committee members Seenu Pillai,Sanjeev Jain,Jayathi,Sayyad Ali,Palash with whom Divakar Poojary worked as General Secretary gathered together to say good bye. All spoke and shared the memorable moments they had together in serving with ICC.

In all his address Divakary Poojary mentioned the constant support he got from his wonderful wife Prameela and loving daughter Deepa.

Over all, Indian community as a whole wishes this wonderful human being and his wife Prameel ,daughter Deepa very happy ,healthy and peaceful life back in India and shall always cherish the outstanding social service and humanitarian acts of great Divakar Poojary.
