Udupi : Advocates have lot of professional tensions. It would be right to organize some cultural programmes in order to get tension free. Hence, we must pay our gratitude to the Bar members for organizing the two days cultural programme , said Working President of Karnataka State Legal Services Authority and Justice of State High Court Judge Aravind Kumar.

After inaugurating the two days state level cultural programme at Udupi Courts ground on Saturday, March , Justice Aravind Kumar said that I want to Udupi Bar Association should model not for only the state but entire country and Udupi Bar Association has capacity to do that.

Justice Aravind Kumar said that in order to get justice quickly, the advocates has responsibilities to get justice to those who didn’t get the fair justice. Therefore, the advocates should organize awareness on legal matters and should give citizens awareness that everyone have the right to get fair justice.

Further he said that those who living in rural areas, people are not aware of legal rights. Hence, the advocates should go every village’s and give awareness on legal matters and this could be beneficial for advocates also. It would be good to give awareness on legal rights for the people by the advocates, said Justice Aravind Kumar.

Justice said that there could be in people’s mind that advocates only taking their professional fees and that mentality of the people should avoided, Hence, advocates should show the people that only they are not taking professional fees, but also give awareness on law of the land for the people.

Justice Kumar said that the Bar Association is the centre of providing judges. Therefore, better Bar Association can provide better judges. So that advocates should work hard in their profession which can be produce better judges in legal system.

Karnataka State High Court Judge and Udupi District Administrative Legal in-charge Justice Govindraj was presided over the programme. Another State High Court Justice John Mychael Cunha was the chief guest and spoke during the occasion. He has been Son of Soil of the undivided Dakshina Kannada district.

Udupi District Principal Judge and Sessions Court Judge Subramanya J N, Belgavi Sessions Court Judge C M Joshi were present on the dais.

Udupi District Bar Association President Divakar M Shetty welcomed the gathering. Udupi Bar Association Cultural Secretary H Raghavendra Shetty gave his keynote address. General Secretary Renold Praveen Kumar proposed vote of thanks and Nithish Shetty Ekkaru compered the programme. All the three High Court Judges were felicitated during the occasion.
