Kollur Temple Irregularities - Temple & Religious Institutions Federation demands their participation during inspection of assets

Udupi : In relate to Kollur Mukambhika temple’s inspections of the irregularities of administration, moveable and unmovable properties, the devotees should give permission to participate during the inspection, said Guruprasad Gowda, Spokesperson of the federation of Karnataka state temple and religious institutions.
Addressing a press meet at Udupi Press Club here on Friday, March 19, Guruprasad Gowda give gratitude to Muzarahi and Religious Endowment Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary for his immediate actions on the Kollur temple irregularities concerned. But the federation demanded to give representation during the inspection of the assets of the temple. It would be not possible to inspect in few days of entire irregularities since several years. They demanded the fair and transparent inspection of the temple properties and assets.
He said that not only Kollur temple, but other temples also having large irregularities in the administration of respective temples. The federation demanded to give temples administration to devotees, so that the corruption could be brought under control. We put RTI applications to other temples of the state also. There are 9657 temples are controlled by the government. All these temples should be giving devotees for the smooth running of the temples rather corruption. The federation given proposal to the religious endowment ministry about our demand, he said.
The federation members Madhusoodan Ayer, Dinesh M P, Srinivas, Chandra Mogera and Hindu Janajagrathi Committee, Udupi coordinator Vijay Kumar were present during the press meet.
