Print Hoode, Kemmannu : Jamaat-e-Islami Hind handed over house to poor Dalit family. The organization handed over the 16th house on Tuesday under the important task of providing houses to those family who not owning their own house. The organization has been working on building houses for the needy families in the Thonse Grama Panchayat.
Abdul Salam Uppinangadi, Zone Convener of Jammat-e-Islami Hind who handed over the house key to the Dalit family said in order to earn God’s love, we are only meant to help the orphans and the poor as guided by the Quran. He wished that such good works would be widespread in the society.
The social worker and Dalit leader Shyamraj Birthi said that there are millions of homeless people in our country. We can see many people who live in sidewalks pipes in the country. Some are live on the footway of roads with the tent. In this case, the work of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, irrespective of caste and creed is commendable. Such actions should be widespread. Getting involved in such activities is true worship, he said.
Manjunath Balkudru, Taluk Panchayat member Sulochana Sathish, Gram Panchayat member Vijay and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Hoode unit president Abdul Kadeer Moideen also spoke during the occasion.
Gram Panchayat president Lata, members Suzan D’Souza, Yashodha, Pratibha, Mamtaz, Jamila, Vatsala, Dr. Faheem Sandhya, Kusuma, District presdent of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Shabhir Malpe and others were present.
