Udupi : As many as in Udupi district  recorded  258 new positive cases and succumbed to two deaths which one from Kundapura taluk and other from Udupi for COVID-19 second wave on Saturday, June 12. Active cases are reduced to 3348.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among  258 covid positive cases, 64  cases reported as symptomatic which 33 are male and 31 are female, meanwhile out of 194 cases of asymptomatic, 103 are  male and 91 are female. 

Among 215 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 133, from Kundapura 75, Karkala taluk is 47 and from other districts are 3.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 13 and at Home Isolation are 245. Total active cases today are 3348.

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave on 12.06.2021 are 3404 and total tested on second wave till 12.06.2021 is 265862. Total first wave and second wave tested are 633103. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 12.06.2021 during second wave are 625 and total discharges on second wave are 36929.  Total discharges in the district are 60350.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  Two deaths on second wave are occurred today on Saturday, 12.06.2021. Till 12.06.2021 deaths in second wave are 166.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 356. Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 40443. Total positives in the district are increased to 64054.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Saturday are 18 to 44 years first dose 3660 and cumulative total 52389, second dose 0, cumulative second dose 0, above 45 years Ist dose are 1184 and cumulative total 222335, IInd dose 355 and cumulative total 67256, for HCW’s Ist dose 14 and cumulative total is 23260 and IInd dose 10, cumulative total is 19143, FLW’s Ist dose are 2 which cumulative total is 7405 and IInd dose0 and cumulative total is 3546. Total today Ist dose 5190 which cumulative total is 305389 and for IInd dose are 365 people and cumulative total is 89945.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: Udupi 0, Total till on 12.06.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 4, In Karkalla 0, Till 12.06.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 1, Till 12.06.2021 is 5, other districts is 1, Till 12.06.2021 is 13. No death occurred today for black fungus. Two deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till 12.06.2021. Total discharges today are 2. Total discharges till 12.06.2021 is 14. Total cases in the district are 22. Total active cases are 6.
