Udupi : Several political parties leaders staged a protest today at in front of Udupi MLA Raghupathy Bhat office near Big Bazar to demanding various solutions in regard to Covid Pandemic in response to statewide protest at MLAs office.

Speaking at the protest Amrit Shenoy said that the lockdown was a cause for concern of people of the state. People in various fields are suffering. The Karnataka government budget is Rs. 2.5 lakh crores. The government should provide support for the people in order to make solution due to the lock down. However, the state government leaders and legislative members fighting each other like children.

Amrit Shenoy said that BJP MLA Yatnal says Yeddyurappa’s son Vijayendra is running the government. BJPs leader Vishwanath charges the government on Rs. 20000 crore corruptions in a tender. The government is involved in a cockfight quarrel each other. The government has forgotten the hardship of the people. Udupi MLA Raghupathy Bhat should help the poor people in his constituency rather agricultural activities, he said.

Speaking at the protest, Dalit leader Sundar Master said that the damage done to the poor by the lockdown is impossible to calculate. The death toll is on the increase. Instead of providing relief, the BJP is making bed blacking, caste politics and vaccination for their communities and making problems for the poor people. It does not say that you should sell the home property and give the package. We are demanding relief from our tax money. Attempts have been made to fool people by announcing a few crores of compensation. He said the family who died of the corona infection was not getting relief.

Congress leader Veronica Cornelio also spoke on failures of BJP government in relate to give pandemic relief for the people who had lot of problems due to the pandemic.

JDS district president Yogish Shetty also spoke during the protest. WPI leader Abdul Aziz Udyavara and others were spoke during the protest.

Janardhan Bhandarkar, Ramesh Kanchan, Prakyath Shetty, Mamata Shetty, Jyothi Hebbar, Kirthi Shetty of Congress, Nissar Udupi, Namuneer Kalmady of PFI, Elias Sashtan of SDPI, Sahid Ali, Yasin Malpe, Hussain Kodibengre and other leaders of various opposition parties were present.
