Udupi : Udupi district  recorded  double figure of 135 new positive cases only and succumbed to three deaths which one two female from Kundapura taluk and other a female from Karkala taluk for COVID-19 second wave on Wednesday, June 23. Active cases are reduced to 1423.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among  135 covid positive cases, 71  cases reported as symptomatic which 38 are male and 33 are female, meanwhile out of 64 cases of asymptomatic, 28 are  male and 36 are female. 

Among 79 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 57, from Kundapura 31, Karkala taluk is 41 and from other districts are six.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 18 and at Home Isolation are 117. Total active cases today are 1423.

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave on 22.06.2021 are 3045 and total tested on second wave till 22.06.2021 is 296383. Total first wave and second wave tested are 664624. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 22.06.2021 during second wave are 229 and total discharges on second wave are 40464.  Total discharges in the district are 63885.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  Three deaths on second wave are occurred today on Wednesday, 23.06.2021. Till 23.06.2021 deaths in second wave are 188.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 378. Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 42075. Total positives in the district are increased to 65686.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Wednesday are 18 to 44 years first dose 3655 and cumulative total 84990, second dose 0, cumulative second dose 0, above 45 years Ist dose are 6132 and cumulative total 262513, IInd dose 1573 and cumulative total 77750, for HCW’s Ist dose 6 and cumulative total is 23449 and IInd dose 21, cumulative total is 19374, FLW’s Ist dose are 30 which cumulative total is 7846 and IInd dose 8 and cumulative total is 3808. Total today Ist dose are 9823 which cumulative total is 378798 and for IInd dose are 1602 people and cumulative total is 100932.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till on 23.06.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 4, In Karkalla 0, Till 23.06.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till 23.06.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till 23.06.2021 is 17. No death occurred today for black fungus. Two deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till 23.06.2021. A total discharge on today is 2. Total discharges till 22.06.2021 is 22. Total cases in the district are 27. Total active cases are 3.
