Udupi : As many as 140 new positive cases and two deaths which 81 years old female from Karkala taluk and 55 years old male from Udupi taluk succumbed to death for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Wednesday, August 4. Active cases are increased to 1279.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 140 covid positive cases, 92 cases reported as symptomatic which 42 are male and 50  are female, meanwhile out of 48 cases of asymptomatic 19 are  male and  29 are female. 

Among 140 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 69, from Kundapura 41, Karkala taluk is 30 and from other districts is o.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 11 and at Home Isolation are129. Total active cases today are1279.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 03.08.2021 are 5702 and total tested on second wave till 03.08.2021 is 426951. Total first wave and second wave tested are 795192. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 04.08.2021 during second wave are 124 and total discharges on second wave are 45197.  Total discharges in the district are 68618.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  One death reported on second wave occurred today on Wednesday on 04.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 230.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 420. Total positives in first wave are 23421. Total positive in second wave is 46706. Total positives in the district are increased to 70317.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Wednesday for 18 to 44 years first dose  are 276 and cumulative total 183766, second dose 265, cumulative second dose 6952, above 45 years Ist dose are 80 and cumulative total 317356, IInd dose 72 and cumulative total 155613, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23560 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 19575, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8082 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total is 4071. Total today Ist dose are 356 which cumulative total is 532764 and for IInd dose are 337  people and cumulative total 186225.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 04.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 04.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 04.08.2021 is 6, other districts is 2, Till today on 04.08.2021 is 38. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 04.08.2021. A total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today on 04.08.2021 is 36. Total cases in the district are 49. Total active cases are 8.
