Udupi : As many as 176 new positive cases and no succumbed to death for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Friday, August 20. Active cases are increased to 1421.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 176 covid positive cases, 98 cases reported as symptomatic which 50 are male and 48  are female, meanwhile out of 78 cases of asymptomatic 37 are  male and  41 are female. 

Among 176 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 96, from Kundapura 37, Karkala taluk is 40 and from other districts are three.

 Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 29 and at Home Isolation are147. Total active cases today are 1421.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 19.08.2021 are 6429 and total tested on second wave till 19.08.2021 is 509907. Total first wave and second wave tested are 878148. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 20.08.2021 during second wave are 80 and total discharges on second wave are 47201.  Total discharges in the district are 70622.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. Two deaths reported on second wave occurred today on Friday on 20.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 248.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 438.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 48870.Total positives in the district are increased to 72481.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Friday for 18 to 44 years first doses  are 1036 and cumulative total 233476, second dose 401, cumulative second dose 27209, above 45 years Ist dose are 328 and cumulative total 332545, IInd dose 332 and cumulative total 169432, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23563 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 19595, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8083 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total  is 4083. Total today Ist dose are 1364 which cumulative total is 597467 and for IInd dose are 733 people and cumulative total 220319.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 20.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 20.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 20.08.2021 is 6, other districts is1, Till today 20.08.2021 is 40. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today 20.08.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 51. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 42. Active cases are 4.
