Udupi : As many as 145 new positive cases and  one person which 35 years old male succumbed to death from Udupi   for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Saturday, August 28. Active cases are increased to 1589.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 145 covid positive cases, 83 cases reported as symptomatic which 38 are male and 45 are female, meanwhile out of 62 cases of asymptomatic 29 are  male and  33 are female. 

Among 145 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 92, from Kundapura 20, Karkala taluk is 33 and from other districts is nil. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 24 and at Home Isolation are 121. Total active cases today are 1589.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 27.08.2021 are 8914 and total tested on second wave till 27 .08.2021 is 571990. Total first wave and second wave tested are 940231 Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 28.08.2021 during second wave are 58 and total discharges on second wave are 48090.  Total discharges in the district are 71511.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. One death reported on second wave occurred today on Saturday on 28.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 288.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 448.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 49938. Total positives in the district are increased to 73549.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Saturday for 18 to 44 years first doses  are 9645 and cumulative total 289978, second dose 2374, cumulative second dose 43358, above 45 years Ist dose are 3683 and cumulative total 351750, IInd dose 1820 and cumulative total 187512, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23563 and IInd dose 23, cumulative total is 19989, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8083 and IInd dose 34 and cumulative total  is 4255. Total today Ist dose are 13328 which cumulative total is 673374, 2nd dose 4251, Cumulative total 255114.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 28.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 28.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 28.08.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till today 28.08.2021 is 41. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today 28.08.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 52. Total discharge on today is 1. Total discharges till today 45. Active cases are 2.
