Udupi : As many as 96 new positive cases and  no deaths for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Sunday, August 29. Active cases are reduced to 1546.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 96 covid positive cases, 58 cases reported as symptomatic which 28 are male and 30 are female, meanwhile out of 38 cases of asymptomatic 16 are  male and  22 are female. 

Among 145 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 62, from Kundapura 17, Karkala taluk is 16 and from other districts is one. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 23 and at Home Isolation are 73. Total active cases today are 1546.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 28.08.2021 are 8914 and total tested on second wave till 28 .08.2021 is 582311. Total first wave and second wave tested are 950552. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 29.08.2021 during second wave are 139 and total discharges on second wave are 48229.  Total discharges in the district are 71650.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. One death reported on second wave occurred today on Sunday on 29.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 259.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 449.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 50034. Total positives in the district are increased to 73645.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Saturday for 18 to 44 years first doses  are 994 and cumulative total 290972, second dose 121, cumulative second dose 43479, above 45 years Ist dose are 490 and cumulative total 352240, IInd dose 121 and cumulative total 43479, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23563 and IInd dose 23, cumulative total is 19989, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8083 and IInd dose 34 and cumulative total  is 4255. Total today Ist dose are 1484 which cumulative total is 674858, 2nd dose 369, Cumulative total 255483.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 29.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 29.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 29.08.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till today 29.08.2021 is 41. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today 29.08.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 52. Total discharge on today is 1. Total discharges till today 45. Active cases are 2.
