Udupi : As many as 150 new positive cases and  one succumbed to death which 82 year old male from Udupi taluk for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Tuesday, August  31. All three deaths from Udupi taluk aged 79 years female and 69 years and 52 years are male. Active cases are reduced to 1514.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 150 covid positive cases, 52 cases reported as symptomatic which 28 are male and 24 are female, meanwhile out of 98 cases of asymptomatic  51 are  male and  47 are female. 

Among 98 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 73, from Kundapura 31, Karkala taluk is 45 and from other districts is one. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 15 and at Home Isolation are 135. Total active cases today are 1514.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 30.08.2021 are 10438 and total tested on second wave till 30 .08.2021 is 600621. Total first wave and second wave tested are 968862. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 31.08.2021 during second wave are 158 and total discharges on second wave are 48505.  Total discharges in the district are 71926.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. One death reported on second wave occurred today on Tuesday on 31.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 263.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 453.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 50282. Total positives in the district are increased to 73893.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Tuesday for 18 to 44 years first doses  are 6330 and cumulative total 338262, second dose 1495, cumulative second dose 48595, above 45 years Ist dose are 2553 and cumulative total 382116, IInd dose 2452 and cumulative total 194071, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23563 and IInd dose 23, cumulative total is 20691, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8083 and IInd dose 39 and cumulative total  is 4294. Total today Ist dose are 8883 which cumulative total is 752027, 2nd dose 4009, Cumulative total 267651.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 31.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 31.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 31.08.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till today 31.08.2021 is 41. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today 31.08.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 52. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 45. Active cases are 2.
