Udupi : As many as 91 new positive cases and  two person succumbed to death which 58 year old male from Udupi taluk and 63 year old female from Karkala taluk for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Wednesday, September 1. Active cases are reduced to 1432.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 91 covid positive cases, 65 cases reported as symptomatic which 28 are male and 37 are female, meanwhile out of 26 cases of asymptomatic  12 are  male and  14 are female. 

Among 98 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 55, from Kundapura 21, Karkala taluk is 15 and from other districts is nil. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 24 and at Home Isolation are 67. Total active cases today are 1432.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 31.08.2021 are 8116 and total tested on second wave till 31 .08.2021 is 608737. Total first wave and second wave tested are 976978. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 1.09.2021 during second wave are 171 and total discharges on second wave are 48676.  Total discharges in the district are 72093.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. Two deaths reported on second wave occurred today on Wednesday on 1.09.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 265.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 455.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 50373. Total positives in the district are increased to 73984.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Wednesday for 18 to 44 years first doses  are 15371 and cumulative total 353980, second dose 2633, cumulative second dose 51256, above 45 years Ist dose are 5928 and cumulative total 388058, IInd dose 3371 and cumulative total 197442, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23563 and IInd dose 24, cumulative total is 20715, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8083 and IInd dose 51 and cumulative total  is 4345. Total today Ist dose are 21299 which cumulative total is 773687, 2nd dose 6079, Cumulative total 273758.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 1.09.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 1.09.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 1.09.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till today 1.09.2021 is 41. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today 1.09.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 52. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 45. Active cases are 2.
