Udupi : As many as 130 new positive cases for COVID-19 and no death reported in Udupi district on Sunday, September 5. Active cases are increased to 1432.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 130 covid positive cases, 62 cases reported as symptomatic which 35 are male and 27 are female, meanwhile out of 68 cases of asymptomatic  31 are  male and  37 are female. 

Among 150 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 71, from Kundapura 24, Karkala taluk is 33 and from other districts are two. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 16 and at Home Isolation are 124. Total active cases today are 1432.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 4.09.2021 are 7018 and total tested on second wave till 4 .09.2021 is 639738. Total first wave and second wave tested are 1007979. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 5.09.2021 during second wave are 70 and total discharges on second wave are 49162.  Total discharges in the district are 72583.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. No death reported on second wave occurred today on Sunday on 5.09.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 267.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 457.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 50861. Total positives in the district are increased to 74472.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Sunday for 18 to 44 years first doses  are 797 and cumulative total 370297, second dose 106, cumulative second dose 58171, above 45 years Ist dose are 311 and cumulative total 394704, IInd dose 97 and cumulative total 203054, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23563 and IInd dose 25, cumulative total is 20763, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8083 and IInd dose 29 and cumulative total  is 4385. Total today Ist dose are 1108 which cumulative total is 796650, 2nd dose 203, Cumulative total 286311.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 5.09.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 5.09.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 5.09.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till today 5.09.2021 is 41. No death occurred today for black fungus. Six deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today 5.09.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 52. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 46. Active cases are 0.
