Udupi : As many as 73 new positive cases for COVID-19 and one  51 year old female from Udupi taluk succumbed to death on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Total discharges today 274 and active cases reduced to 751

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 73 covid positive cases, 34 cases reported as symptomatic which are 15 male and 19 are female, meanwhile out of 39 cases of asymptomatic  25 are  male and 14 are female. 

Among 84 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 40, from Kundapura 11, Karkala taluk is 22 and from other districts is none. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 8 and at Home Isolation are 65. 

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 20.09.2021 are 4130 and total tested on second wave till 20.09.2021 is 731977. Total first wave and second wave tested are 1100218. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges today on 21.09.2021 during second wave are 274 and total discharges on second wave are 51219.  Total discharges in the district are 74640.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. One death reported on second wave occurred today on Tuesday on 21.09.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 279.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 469.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 52249. Total positives in the district are increased to 75860.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Tuesday for 18 to 44 years first doses are 949 and cumulative total 422147, second dose 2163, cumulative second dose 96450, above 45 years Ist dose are 669 and cumulative total  422136, IInd dose 1249 and cumulative total 245061 for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23570 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 22621, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8079 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total  is 6366. Total today Ist dose are 1618 which cumulative total is 875936, 2nd dose 3412 Cumulative total 370498.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 21.09.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 21.09.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 21.09.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till today 21.09.2021 is 42. No death occurred today for black fungus. Six deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 21.09.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 53. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 46. Active cases are 1.
