Udupi : As many as 47 new positive cases for COVID-19 and two succumbed to death which  80  year old female from Udupi taluk and 43 year old male from Karkala taluk on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Total discharges today 268 and active cases reduced to 528.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 47 covid positive cases, 32 cases reported as symptomatic which are 17 male and 15 are female, meanwhile out of 15 cases of asymptomatic  5 are  male and 10 are female. 

Among 47 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 31, from Kundapura 8, Karkala taluk is 8 and from other districts is none. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 9 and at Home Isolation are 38. 

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 21.09.2021 are 5906 and total tested on second wave till 21.09.2021 is 737883. Total first wave and second wave tested are 1106124. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges today on 22.09.2021 during second wave are 268 and total discharges on second wave are 51487.  Total discharges in the district are 74908.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. Two death reported on second wave occurred today on Wednesday on 22.09.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 281.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 471.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 52296. Total positives in the district are increased to 75907.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Wednesday for 18 to 44 years first doses are 5396 and cumulative total 427543, second dose 7654, cumulative second dose 104104, above 45 years Ist dose are 3664 and cumulative total  425800, IInd dose 4837 and cumulative total 249898 for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23570 and IInd dose 39, cumulative total is 22660, FLW’s Ist dose are 1 which cumulative total is 8080 and IInd dose 47 and cumulative total  is 6413. Total today Ist dose are 9061 which cumulative total is 884993, 2nd dose 12577 Cumulative total 383075.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 22.09.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 22.09.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 22.09.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till today 22.09.2021 is 42. No death occurred today for black fungus. Six deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 22.09.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 53. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 46. Active cases are 1.
