Udupi Police arrests two robbers and confiscates stolen gold ornaments

Udupi : Udupi Town Police have arrested two persons in connection with a robbery case held at Kakkunje ward near Ambagilu of Udupi town police station limits and recovered the stolen ornaments.
As per the complaint filed by Prameela Bangera, a resident of Kannunje, that between 21/01/2022 and 20/02/2022 some thieves stolen 2 gold chains, bangle 2, ring 3, Earings 2, bracelet 1.T he total estimated value of the stolen property is Rs 3,15,000/- and a case has been registered and investigation is under way as per the complaint that Santosh who was coming home was suspected.
Udupi Town Police SI Prasad Kumar along with the officers Sathish and Kiran arrested Santhosh Poojary (36), from Sri Krishna Math Geetha Mandir area and Rakesh Palan (37) from in front of Ujjwal Bar and recovered from them Rs. 2,18,169 valued gold ornaments. Both Santhosh and Rakesh remanded 15 days judicial custody.
The address of the arrested is 1) Santhosh Pujari Age: 36 years Father: The: Raghu Pujari, Residing: “Ammakrupa”, Near Garadi Temple, Kakkunje Village Shivalli Post Office Udupi District.
2) Rakesh Age: 37 Years Father: Sundar Palan Residence: 3-84 “Kusu Niwas” Mattu Post Office Katapadi Village Udupi District.
Under the guidance of Udupi SP N Vishnuvardhan, ASP Siddalingappa, SySP Udupi Sudhakar Naik, Udupi town SI Pramodh Kumar, Mahesh T M, Prasad Kumar, Vasappa Naik and staff members ASI Arun, Satish Belle, Kirn were involved to arrest the culprits.
