Udupi : District Administration, District Panchayat, Women and Child Development and District Legal Services Authority organized two day orientation training programme on the role of the participating departments in the implementation of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act at Rajatadri Dr V S Acharya Hall on Tuesday.
District deputy commissioner Kurma Rao M inaugurated the training programme.
District Panchayat CEO Prasanna H presided. District Superintendent of Police Hake Akshay Machindra, District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr. Nagabhushan Udupa, Senior Civil Judge and District Legal Services Authority Member Secretary Sharmila S and others were present.
Veena Vivekananda, Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department welcomed the gathering, Deepa of Mahila Shakti Kendr compared the programme and Sarada delivered vote of thanks.
