Udupi : In relation to Shivamoga Bomb trial and Cooker blast case, the student Rehan Shaik has been taken in custody by NIA at Mangaluru who has been the son of Brahmavar Block Congress General Secretary  Tajauddin Shaikh. Raghupathy Bhat asks the Congress Party’s clear stand on the arrest of Congress leader’s son in NIA custody.

Speaking in the press meet held at Udupi Pathrika Bhavan here on Friday, January 6, Raghupathy Bhat local MLA said that whether it will promotion to its Brahmavar Block Secretary Tejauddin or expel from the party that his son Rehan Shaik, an engineer student having links with terrorism activities.

Raghupathy Bhat said that the father of accused is a close aide of former chief minister Siddaramaiah, the congress state president D K Shivakumar and also of Ullal MLA U T Khader photos already viral in social media that the accused Rihan can see along with these congress top leaders. Hence, we should know what stand of the Brahmavar Block Congress regarding this case and what action will be taken on Tejauddin, General Secretary of Brahmavar Block Congress, he said.

Moreover, he said that recently we had received complaints against the accused’s mother, Renu Reena Soans who is a lecturer at Government First Grade College, Tenkanidiyoor, that she was speaking against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and nationalism. Hence, I had personally asked the education minister Nagesh to inquire about the matter and also gave the letter along with a CD containing her conversion with the students of the college, he said.

Bhat said that the development of terrorism activities in Udupi and Mangaluru which has been great concern to the people and the government. We should understand the soft stand of the congress party on terrorism in the coastal areas. We pressurizing the government to open NIA branch at Mangaluru in order to put break on development of terrorism in undivided Dakshina Kannada districts.
