Mumbai :As a stepping stone towards excellence in education ,under the able guidance of our Chairman Dr. Augustine F. Pinto and Managing  Director Madam Grace Pinto ,The Ryan International  Group of Institution , was proud to  host  the prestigious World Scholars Cup  with the theme “A  World in Flux ”, on 17th & 18th of December. 

 The World Scholar’s Cup was a global co-curricular enrichment activity for school students. The event endeavors to enhance the general knowledge quotient, of the participants, as they compete with each other on the topics of literature, science and bio-technology, art, music and history.

It was  a mega event as over  500 students from over 40 schools all over India , will be participated in this Literary Extravaganza , where students were  provided  opportunities to practice team work, to connect  to diverse disciplines and discover and  display their skills and strengths by participating in events like The team debate , persuasive writing , scholars challenge and scholars bowl . The event was an endeavour towards holistic development of a child in this global village, as it inculcated in them skills of reasoning, strategizing, team spirit, confidence in public speaking and much more. This enriching experience will be an experience of a lifetime for the children as they collaborate with their team mates across the nation and build inter and intra personal skills that are inevitable to be a successful person in this fast pace learner’s environment.
The students were felicitated for their excellent in performance as overall champions in the junior and senior category and as best teams for persuasive writing, scholars challenge, team debate and scholar’s bowl. Individual efforts were   appreciated where in 6 students, out of the entire group , were facilitated for “best overall performance by a student” . Even though there were prizes for the winners of the various activities, but each individual was an achiever at the commencement of the event as each participant  emerged as a better speaker, better thinker and a better Scholar.

The ceremony was graced by Ms. Mamta Sharma, Chairperson National Commission for Women who spoke very encouraging words for the children and was very happy to see them win so many awards.  The event was organized under the able guidance of its honorable Managing Director, Madam Grace Pinto. In her words of encouragement she says, “This event will provid to the children ample opportunities to develop team work, research, public speaking, time management and collaboration, in a cross cultural environment that would  make the experience unforgettable for a life time.” she also said that” everyone is a scholar within themselves , this platform has allowed them to derive more skills and hone their talents.” She also mentioned , that the Ryan group considers itself fortunate of being able to organize the World Scholar’s Cup, the only event of this genre and of this magnitude ,  for the  first time in  India and urges the children to make the most of this opportunity.

The Ryan International Group of institutions took pride in hosting an event of this stature, and feels extremely privileged and gratified towards all the special guests, students and parents, for joining this endeavour to make it a grand success.  The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Ms. Sarah Devarall, Director Examination India - British Council, Mrs. Diana Mickeviciene, Charge D’ Affaires, Embassy of Lithuania, and Mr. KVL Narasimham , Director Planning, Educational Consultants India P. Ltd. who felicitated & encouraged the children with their motivation words.
