Awareness on Road Safety Week at Milagres, Kallianpur

Kallianpur : Milagres College NSS, NCC, Indian Youth Red Cross, JCI Kallianpur, Udupi District Traffic Police Department, Udupi District Adminstration jointly organised 24th National Road Safety Week at Milagres College Conference Hall on Wednesday, 16th January here.

Dr. Nery Cornelio presided the occasion. Mahadevappa Traffic Police Inspector Udupi District, Jci Methra Kumar President of JCI Kallianpura, Santhosh Kumar and Purandhar Salian officials of JCI Kallianpur, Prof Joseph Peter Fernandes and Prof Annamma Officials of  NSS Milagres College were present on the dais.

Police Inspector Mahadevappa pointed out and gave some of of the  hints regarding how to overcome accidents specially in students. He said some of the traffic rules should be revised which in India traffic Act was since 1861 not revised. Moreover he said drive with confidence and stay alive, don’t drink and drive. Driver should follow the various traffic signs like mandatory signs, cautionary signs and informatory signs while driving.

 

Dr. Nery Cornelio spoke during his presidential address. Traffic Interceptor police officials, JCI members and large number of students community were present during the occasion.

Shareth welcomed the gatherings and compered the programme while Abishek of Final B.Com proposed vote of thanks.
