Udupi : District Working Journalists Association organized World Photography Day on Tuesday, 19^th August, 2014 which was inaugurated by District Commissioner Shri. Muddhu Mohan by clicking the Photo which displaying copies of photos during photo exhibition.

After the inauguration get together of journalists held which Smt. Rohini District Information Officer was the chief guest. Well known photographer Gurudutt Kamath and Jayakar Suvarna President of District Working Journalists Association present on the dais.

Speaking on the occasion Muddhu Mohan said that pictures convey the messages analytically and more powerfully which stands as testimony to the story. Moreover he said that photographers have to work at the cutting edge in the field. They are the one who encounter most of the professional difficulties. Photography in the media can reflects of various facets of the society as well. In fact, photography is an art.

The renowned photographer Gurudutt Kamath was felicitated by Muddhu Mohan with shawl, garland, fresh fruits and memento. After receiving felicitation Gurudutt said that photography is a kind of virtual reality which helps one to create the illusions. He gave his experiences with slides. He further said that during his near about one hour narration on Photography harmony and balancing is more essential needs to be the balanced combination of identity, frame, simplicity, focus and exposure. The pictures will be analyzed graphically and geographically and which no identical demarcation between good and bad picture.

Earlier Jayakar Suvarna gave introduction of the occasion. General Secretary of the Association Ganesh Prasad Pandelu welcomed the gatherings while Treasurer Rajesh Shetty proposed vote of thanks. Rahim Ujire compered the programme. After the celebration of the World Photography Day, video and photography of the various important occasions were played. Large number of district journalists were present during the occasion.
