Print Kallianpura Santhekatte, Feast of Nativity of Mary, Monti fest celebrated in Mount rosary Parish. The blessing of the rice grains from the new crop of the harvest was held at the Maria Goretti hospital premises in Kallianpura Santhekatte. Hundreds of children with flowers showered flowers en route on the procession from Goretti to Mt Rosary accompanied by school band and hymns by the church choir gave graceful appearance.
Solemn Mass of the feast in honour of infant Mary. In his beautiful homily Fr. Baptist Menezes from Mangalore seminary gave importance of the feast which reminds every family member near and far. He stressed the mother and every woman role that zeal’s for her family. Both the priests wished happy feast and Mother Mary’s blessings.
While thanking the parish community and the sponsor of the feast Mr Edwin Elias Saldanha family, Fr Neri reminded to the gathering about the new church construction that is ongoing and need further funds to be donated by kind donors.
Sugar cane and sweets distributed to children followed by the serving of blessed cream of rice (Paaisa, Waarn) as a token of love of united family of the parish. The Mt Rosary school band performed by children was the centre of attraction everyone glanced for a movement tapping feet. The parish priest was praised by parishioners for his efforts in binding the community for devotional parish with right orders in an ever growing settlements.
