Udupi : Allen Vinay Lewis re-elected President of Milagres College Alumni Association, Kallianpur unanimously for the year 2014/15 during the Annual General meeting of the Milagres College Alumni Association here on Saturday, 27^th September.

Dr. Nery Cornelio Principal of Milagres College presided the occasion. Allan Vinay Lewis President of Alumni Association, Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, Prof. Salvadore Noronha Vice President, Prof. Sophia D’Souza  Secretary, Augustine Dais Hon. Treasurer and Prof. Mewyn Rego Returing Officer were present during the dais.

Prior to the program invocation prayer song held and Allen Vinay Lewis welcomed the gatherings. Prof. Sophia Dais presented Annual Report of the Association. Retd Prof. Augustine Dais placed the statement of accounts for the year.

The felicitation program held for academic achievers during the occasion. Anusha Rencil Monteiro who secured 2^nd Rank in BSc., University of Mangalore and Sr. Teena  who secured 7^th Rank in B.Sc., Mangalore University were felicitated  for their achievement in the university achievement.

Meanwhile  Smt. Janaki M President of Karnataka State Tulu Sahitya Academy and great writer, poet, Dramatist, Author etc. etc. was felicitated during the occasion. Retd. Prof. Peter D’Souza former HOD of Commerce also felicitated for his long service for the Milagres College.

After receiving felicitation Mrs. Janaki M.who first batch student of the college  gave gratitude for the college otherwise she was not able to continue her studies. She feels that she yet to give the due for the college for her remarkable achievements. Milagres College was responsible for her outstanding career.

After the felicitation program election of the office bearers for the year 2014/15 held by returning officer Prof. Melwyn Rego and conducted smooth election. Allen Vinay Lewis once again re-elected President while Prof. Sophia D’souza as Secretary. Prof. Salvadore Noronha and Smt. Janaki M elected as Vice Presidents. Cynthia D’Silva elected as Joint Secretary. Augustine Dais elected as Hon. Treausurer  and 25 executive members also elected unanimously.

Very Rev Fr. Stany Lobo blessed the occasion. Dr. Nery Cornelio gave his presiding address and outlined some of the projects for the College which going to celebrated Golden Jubilee after two years. Allen Vinay Lewis also put forth some of the plan for the college with the guide and help from College Alumni Association.

Shekar Gujjarbettu President of Billavara Association, Santhekatte, Kallianpur and Rekha U were compered the programme.
