Chilly Willy promotes Energy Drink during Tulu Film Awards in Mangalore.

Dubai, Nov 25, 2014: Dubai based Chilly Willy Trading has promoted its Energy Drink brand at the recently held Tulu Film Awards in Mangalore. Chilly Willy Energy Drink Lunched initially  in Dubai during 2012 is now available in India.  Promotion of the brand was held during the 1st ever Tulu Film awards . Chilly Willy owned and managed by Kemmannite Sathish Venkatraman Ganiga having head quartered in Dubai has introducing a whole new range of beverages with a whole lot of goodness.

The chilly willy energy drink and Basil Seed Drinks are available in Rajasthan, MP, MH, Gujarat, AP, Delhi, HP, Karnataka, Kerala, WB including Union Territories.

K N Tailor receives “Lifetime Achievement Award” in the first Tulu movie awards-2014

Mangaluru, November 24: The Tulu Movie awards were presented on Saturday November 22nd, a remarkable day in the history of Tulu movie industry. The event was organized by Red FM 93.5 at Nehru Maidan, Mangaluru.

Tulu film ‘Oriyardori Asal’, won the award for the Best Film. The movie was conferred as many as six awards in various categories, including the Best Director (H S Rajshekar) and the Best Actor in a Comic Role (Navin D Padil).
K N Tailor Veteran Tulu artiste, was honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Tulu cinema over the decades.

The Best Actor (Male) award was presented to Arjun Kapikad for ‘Telikeda Bolli’ while the Best Actor (Female) award went to Pakhi Hegde for her role in ‘Bangarda Kural’.
The event was graced Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty. Lauding the organizers for taking the initiative to recognize and honour Tulu film talents, he said, “This is a great day for the Tulu film industry, a day to appreciate the local talent.
“One of the first movies I had watched was Koti Chennaya, which inspired me. I never thought I would reach Bollywood, but whatever my achievements may be, in my entire life I have never let Tulunadu down, and I feel proud that I kept up the name of Tulunadu wherever I went. I am excited to see the large crowd that has gathered this evening. Keep up your support to Tulu film industry always,” he said. Sunil Shetty was honoured for his contribution to the film industry.

This evening ceremony, was inaugurated by a host of dignitaries including health minister U T Khadar, DC A B Ibrahim, Mayor Mahabala Maarla, Red FM CEO B Surendra, SP Dr Sharanappa, Sadananda Suvarna- senior filmmaker and National Award winner, City Gold Group Managing Director Abdul Kareem, Chilly Willy Foods Managing Director Satheesh Venkataraman from Dubai, Mookambika Temple managing trustee Krishnaprasad Adyanthaya and COO of RedRocks Group Prashanth Rasquinha.
Addressing the gathering, U T Khadar said, “Today is a great day. This is a step towards taking Tulu film industry to the national and internation levels and making it more popular. I thank the organizers Red FM for initiating this, and wish them all success.”

Sadananda Survarna said, “This is a festive sesason for the Tulu industry. Earlier, it was consdered that Tulu films had no market and so people were afraid to invest. With ‘Oriyardori Asal’ a benchmark for Tulu movies was set, where people started to believe that even Tulu industry can do well. Thereafter, many movies got released and became Tulu cinema emerged again.”
A B Ibrahim Deputy Commissioner also lauded the organizers and pointed out that 2014 had been a remarkable year for Tulu industry as three major films were released and also the first Tulu Film Awards was hosted.

The Award jury Kasargod Chinna and Vasanth Kadri were also honored by Amarnath Shetty and Khadar on the occasion.
Apart from the film awards, Satheesh Venkataraman of Chilly Willy presented seven special awards – to ‘Gaggara’ Tulu movie, Sadashiva Shetty, ‘Bangar Patler’, ‘Nirel’, Sarojini Shetty, Seetharam Kulal and Pradeep – to mark the launch of Chilly Willy products in Mangaluru.

Brilliant dances by various crews including ‘Friction’, ‘City Guys’ and Bhargavi troupe from Udupi added more glamour and charm to the ceremony. Noted magician Kudroli Ganesh drew the attention of the audience and adding attraction was Mookambika chende crew.

Actress Akshata Maarla also performed. The promotion of upcoming film ‘Ka’ with a special dance was showcased during the event. Audio CD of ‘Bire Dev Pooje’ was also released.

The gathering was welcomed by RJ Prasanna. The show was beautifully hosted by emcees Nagaraj, Madhu, Anurag and Chitra.
At the beginning of the ceremony, invocation was done by Children of Canara School.
