Udupi: Three with underworld connection arrested for plotting to kill Shirva businessman

Print Udupi, 28 Jan :The Udupi DCIB police on Tuesday January 27 arrested three persons with underworld connection for for plotting kill a Shirva-based businessman.
The arrested are Dinakar Poojary (29), a resident of Hebri, Sandeep Mogaveera of Kunjalu in Udupi, and Arvind Nayak (31) of Manchakal, Shirva.
On Tuesday, based on a tiff-of, DCIB Inspector T.R. Jaishanker, Udupi Circle Inspector K. Shrikanth and Udupi City Sub Inspector Madhu T.S. along with their team raided a place in Menasinahadi under Hiriadka police station limits and arrested the three accused.
The trio accused are said to have links with the underworld. Among the accused, Dinakar Poojary faces fours cases in Hebri police station, while Aravind Nayak is an accused in two cases, each in Malpe and Padubidri police stations.
The police recovered a revolver that was kept ready for carrying out the crime, two live bullets, a hatchet and three mobile phones from the accused. Police said that the accused have links with the underworld. The accused and the weapons have been handed over to Hiriadka police for further inquiry.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Udupi SP Annamalay, Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar, ACP K M Chandrashekar, led by Udupi DCIB inspector T R Jaishanker, Udupi Circle Inspector K Srikanth, Udupi City Sub-Inspector Madhu T S, ASI Rosario D’Souza, staff Ravichandra, Suresh, Santhosh Kundra, Chandra Shetty, Ramu Hegde, Mohan Kotwal, Thomson, Raghavendra, Barshi, Chandrashekar and Mahabaleshwara.
