Super Stars Sudha Chadran, Krishna and Faisal Khan enthrals the audience at the Dancing Divas “Jhoomte Sitare”

Kuwait, June, 2015: Hot Celebrities, glittering lights, melodious sound, comedy, foot tapping dance and competition was the main highlights of this weekend at Cambride School, Mangaf. The Dancing Divas organized their 7th Annual Jubilation on 5th June 2015 at Cambridge School.

The Program began by 7:00 PM with salutation to both the countries Kuwait and India by playing the National Anthems. The MC Mrs Madhulika Mohta welcomed the gathering and introduced the ever smiling guru Jyoti Patel the founder of the famed Dancing Divas – an organization that helps children and adults find their steps in dancing in whichever form – right from ballot to belle to Indian classical forms.

The Chief Guest of the Evening Sri Shiv Sagar, Second Secretary from Indian Embassy Kuwait who is in charge of HOC, Education and Cultural Affairs and guest of honour Mrs. Anju Dheman, Principal of Fahaheel Al-Wataniytya Public School, Ahmadi were invited to the Stage to light the traditional lamp. The Souvenir was formally launched to mark the occasion in presence of dignitaries including Mr Aijaz Ahmed Sarfaraz, Managing Director of Sahara Air Conditioning Co, Mrs. Ananthi Natarajan of Hotel Saravana Bhavan, Amit Malhotra, Akash and Sunoj Nambiar along with other dignitaries and sponsors of the event.

The opening dance number was an excellent piece of classical dance in Bharatanatyam form which was a tribute to Lord Natraja the guru of all dance forms as per Indian tradition.

Krishna Abhishek, the super star of Comedy Circus and Comedy Classes, anchored the event in his charismatic and humorous style. The audience were roaring with laughter as the anchor went through effortlessly with assigned task. He entered the stage dancing to his film song Jonny Jonny from the movie Entertainment. His dance mesmerized the audience. He even did some few dance steps of Govinda which got thunderous applause from the audience.

The Students of Dancing Divas stormed the stage with their superb and electrifying performances. Tiny tots to Senior Groups captivated the audience with their dances to various Bollywood Songs.

The winner of reality show DID Li’l Masters 2 and also known for the lead role of young Maharana Pratap in Sony India’s show Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, Faisal Khan danced for Yo Yo Honey Singh - Desi Kalakaar Song. Audience were just spellbound by his performance.

Everybody enjoyed when Sahara Air condition representative came on to the stage rendering a song and Dance.

The most awaited part was when Ms Sudha Chandran entered the stage to Judge the Indian classical dance competition which was a part of the program. There were 6 Groups Senior and Junior who were qualified for the Finals of the Classical Dance Competition which was held during this event. The Groups that Qualified were Upasana, Nattya Veda, Nandanam School of Dance, Shrishti, Kala Bhavan and Mudra Nritha Vidyalay.

The program then followed very smoothly with each dance group performing the classical dances being one better than the other. The Winners of the competition were felicitated with trophies. The Winners were in Junior category, Upasana Dance Studio bagged first place while Kalabhavan Kuwait got 2nd place. Nadanam School of Dance and Shrishti classical & creative dance academy shared third place while Natya veda got a special appreciation from the judge. In Senior category, Upasana Dance Studio bagged first place while Mudra Nritha Vidhyalaya and Nadanam School of Dance shared second place. Natya veda came third place. Trophies were given to the winners by Sudha Chandran.

The Dancing Divas was founded in May 2008. The aim of the first step of the journey was to live the passion of the founder, to teach and leverage the learning to the others. The founder Jyoti Patel herself is an Odissi learned dancer. She has learnt many other forms of dance in stints.
