Dubai: Tulu cinema has seen many actors, Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraja Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar who all raised in the Drama Troupes and reached movie industry. At the era of almost all movies made are from Drama background, an actor like Deepak Paladka, who working in Dubai is getting into movies is not a easy task. Being young and handsome, Deepak Paladka who is popularly known as "Deepu", is now Tulu Industries new "FRIEND". Thanks to  2 major Friends Role he played in his past two movies.

Born in Paladka, near Moodabidre, Deepak acted in many Dramas ,Radio programmes ,comedy reality shows and skits. His comedy acting in Konkani Dramas like Sangon Mugdhana, Kasale Grahachar  Saiba,  Ootre Uzwadle  made him popular among Drama lovers. But his luck changed when there was audition call for Tulu Movie Nirel in Dubai. Deepak went to test his luck without a second thought. May be the youth oriented "Nirel" was looking for a comedy actor like Deepak, team selected him to play the main comedy lead role, a friend of main Hero of the movie Anoop Sagar. Deepak used the chance he got without any mistake and excelled in his role named "Deepu". People enjoyed his over confidence, foolishness, his comedy timings, and also "Deepu" as a supporting good friend of Main hero made audiences eyes wet in sentimental scenes. "I had only one aim in my life to come on big screen, Nirel gave me that opportunity. I am always thankful to the team" thankfully says Deepak.

Working in Gulf to support family needs and nourishing  a passion is a big challenge for any upcoming actors in Gulf. Usually movies made in Mangalore, India. But luck was with Deepak, as he got his second chance when Shodhan Prasad produced his second movie under Ranjith Bajpes Direction "Dhand". "When Nirel was released in Mangalore, I had a word with Arjun Kapikad, with whom I shared my desire to work with him, but I never expected it will come true soon" said Deepak on the day of "Dhand" tulu Movie muhurtha. Deepak become "Deepu" again but, now friend of main leading role Arjun Kapikad. Rest is history. Movie is much appreciated by audience and Deepu become household name of Tulu Movie lovers. His scenes with Comedy King Kusalda Birse Sandeep Shetty is much enjoyed by audience.

"An actors job is not only acting, he should work for success of the Movie too, Deepak works for the success of movie even though after his shooting finished. His main Mantra ’If movie is success, then actor his success’ is has to be followed by all"  says Producer Shodhan Prasad, who also played a major role in Dhand.

"Knowing Deepak personally helped me to develop "Deepu"s role, ’Dhand’ was challenge for me too make Deepu as a star among local stars in the movie. And happy that the role is successful.  I am glad that Deepak is getting offers to play Protagonist roles in Tulu Movies"  says Director Ranjith Bajpe.
