Print Public Felicitation to Minister Pramod Madhwaraj at Kemmannu.
Kemmannu, August 13 August 2016: Udupi MLA Mr. Pramod Madhwaraj who took over as Minister of Fisheries, youth and sports Affairs recently visited Kemmannu and was felicitated by the citizens of Kemmannu at a function held at the church hall.
Senior leader Mr. Raghuram Hegde delivered the introductory speech and welcomed the gathered. Kemmannu Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves blessed the gathered and lauded the helpful and generous nature of the minister and wished him well. Mrs. Veronica Cornelio briefed the audience about the several developmental projected amounting to Rs. 10 crores implemented by Mr. Pramod in Padu Thonse Grama Panchayat after being elected as the MLA of Udupi constituency. Hoode Masjid Maulvi Ustad Ismail also wished the minister well.
On his reply Mr. Pramod said that he is overwhelmed by the love, affection and support he received from the people of Padu Thonse and said that this is his favorite Gram Panchayat as he has received the maximum votes from Padu Thonse and promised that he will keep supporting the developmental work here.
He also promised to build a wide main road in Kemmannu provided the citizens help him by vacating the road side buildings taking the building owners in to confidence. He suggested the citizens to form a Nagarika Samiti in this regard and work on it.
Later the minister was felicitated by various Associations and organizations of the area including the local Congress unit.
Local Congress leaders including the leaders of several Associations of the area were present on the occasion. Mr. Sadiq Thonse proposed the vote of thanks.
