Udupi : Department of cardiology, Kasturba hospital, Manipal and Department of CVT ,SOAHS   is conducting their continuing medical education “Manipal Cardiology Update 2016” and it is scheduled on Nov 1, 2016. The focus of “Manipal Cardiology Update 2016” is  all about the Infections and Heart.

“Manipal Cardiology Update 2016” will be inaugurated by Pro-Chancellor of Manipal University Dr H S Ballal. Dean –KMC Manipal Dr Poornima Baliga and Dy Medical  Superintendent of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal Dr Padmaraj Hegde would be the Guests of Honour. The event will start at 8.30 am.  The programme is expected to end by 5.30 pm with the valedictory function.

According to Dr Tom Devasia, head of the department of Interventional Cardiology and organizing chairman “ Cardiologists, physicians, general practitioners, nurses, technologists, have registered in large numbers to attend the Update 2016. About 500 delegates are expected to attend the programme. Spot registration will be available for those who have not registered. Added attraction of the program would be the  “  live transmission of interventional cardiology cases from  catheterization laboratory for the participants. ” Dr Tom added.

Eminent speakers in cardiology and medicine from mangalore and manipal are expected to give lectures on various topics related to the subject. There will also be a quiz programme on cardiology for the young doctors with attractive prizes.
