Mumbai: Sulshatpada in Dehekle Village Gets Salar Water Pump on the Eve of Diwali.

Mumbai, Nov 2016: On the eve of Diwali celebrations Sulshatpada in Dhekle Village gets a Solar Water Pump worth Rs.1.6 lacs Funded by Vanamali Organics, Hyderabad.

 Ls Ujwala Khobrekar District President, Ls District 323 A2 from Nerul and MJF Lion Prashant Patil, Vibrant District Governor from Lns District 323 A3 inaugurated Solar Water Pump at Sulshatpada in Dhekle Village, situated at the Bank
of Wandri Dam, is an earth filled dam on Wandri river near Palghar, Thane, This river provides water to entire Mumbai & even Navi Mumbai.

Sulshatpada villages with around 300 residence does not have basic facilities like water, electricity even proper roads to reach cities like Palghar and Mumbai, though it is hardly 1 and half hours away from cities. says Governor Ln Prashant Patil, he also suggested the Lions Intl organization is ready to fund for education, poultry, even cows so that each house can have enough income to cater all their needs.

Ls Ujwala said Ls Dr Yashaswini gave 40 Solar Lanterns to all the houses in that village, past president of Ls Vasant Vihar. she also gave  Solar water boiler costing Rs.95000/- for Vastalya Foundation Sanpada  (Funded by Vanamali Organics, Hyderabad) who take care of Orphan girls so that they can have 24 hours hot water without using electricity says Ls Pallavi President.it is designed by Mr Bindu Madhavan.

Ln Saraswati Shankar, said Lns club Dahisar will built 8 toilet blocks for these villagers, funded by Bank Of India, under CSR scheme. Ln Sridhar Murthy, in lionism since 53 years, was cabinet secretary in the year 1978-79, very enthusiastic person has done lot of projects during his social work for last 53 years, like building a Hostel in memory of his father in his village Devaraya Samudrum, in Kolar District almost more than 30 years back costing 50000/-(with Grant from LCIF and also Lions SPJ Eyes Hospital at Dahisar by his Lions Dahisar  Club wherein they got LCIF Grant from USA for Rs.35 lacs.

Lions have also donated Boat costing Rs 25000/- to the villagers as people have to walk in paddy & watery fields to reach their homes whereas by Boat they can reach within 20 minutes, also want to donate more such boats in the future.

Actress Madhuri Bhatia,(of Subhash Ghat film Pardes fame) who has become Lion member recently also attended the event.
