On the subject matter of Mothers role in upbringing of children, the Catholic Womens Council of Shirva Varado meet was held on the 14th of February 2010 ( Valentine Day) at 2.30pm in the Don Bosco School under the leadership of our lady of health church, Shirva. Mr. Alban Rodrigures the trainer of family life center, Mangalore pioneered the camp. Mrs. Maria Jacintha Mathias, President of CWC shirva deanery welcomed the gathering.

Fr. Vincent Martis, who died in a tragic road accident at Rajasthan on second of this month, was given a tearful adieu by the family members, parishners, and well-wishers at the Sastan church today. Popular local tennis ball cricketer of Kemmannu- Vishwanath Ganiga, popularly known as Vishwa, aged 32, expired on Tuesday 2nd of February. Vishwa had a massive heart attack on Sunday while playing a cricket match and was admitted to KMC, Manipal. He could not survive and breathed his last on Tuesday night. {Condolences 22}

Mr. Imran who was very nice with us throughout this trip by looking at us tried his experience to ask us our origin like are you from south India? And continued saying his colleague is from south India and he is driving behind us in the other vehicle and we can meet him during the photo stops. After knowing our origin from Mangalore, he said I know Mangalore NARIYAL PANI and laughs!!
