Kallianpur : Milagres College here inaugurated Students Welfare Council for the year 2010/2011 on Monday, 26th July, 2010 at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall. Rev Fr. Marcel Saldanha Correspondant of the Milagres Institutions was presided over the occasion. Other present on the dais were Dr. Robert Jose, Prinicipal of Secred Heart College, Madanthyar, Rev Fr. Fred Mascarenhas, Principal Milagres College, Kallianpur, Dr. Nery Cornelio and Mrs Shylet Mathais Directors of Students Welfare Council, Priyanka C Furtado III Bcom., President SWC, Carol D’ Souza III BCA, Vice President SWC, Steffi N Martis III BBM Secretary SWC, Arshad III BA Joint Secretary SWC and Avin Kumar III BSc., Treasurer of SWC.

 

 

 

 

After the prayer song by Anni and group of III BCom, Students Welfare Council President Priyanka C Furtado welcomed the gatherings. Carol D’Souza Vice President intruduced the chief guest Dr. Robert Jose. Rev Fr. Fred Mascarenhas Principal was took Oath of office of the SWC officials. The chief guest inaugurated the SWC by lighting the lamp and said during his inaugural address that great writers can be instruments, but College Council should not be instruments, we need the democratic values of the society.

Rev Fr. Marcel Saldanha gave his Presidential remarks during the occasion. Rev Fr. Fred Mascarenhas gave Momento to the Chief Guest Dr. Robert Jose. Steffi Martis Secretary SWC proposed vote of thanks and the occasion was compered by Dreema D’Souza I BCom.
