Iranian Ship Crew Safe After Panic Moments in Tannirbavi Waters

Mangalore:July,27.An empty vessel that was stranded in Arabian Sea near Tannirbavi here due to fuel shortage and inclement weather, however managed to come ashore after few panicky moments on Tuesday morning, July 27.

The ship moving towards Iran from Jakarta with eight crew members was caught in danger at around 7.00 am as the Iranian captain of the ship did not get the whiff of the danger posed by waves. With a wrong calculation, he anchored the vessel about a nautical mile away from the coast of Tannirbavi. However, the other crew members of Andrian-3 vessel managed to escape from the danger zone at around 11:30pm after a boat sent by a shipping company directed the members of the Iranian vessel.

It is learnt that the ship which was about to sink at one point in time was brought back to safety at around 11.00 am by the captain after initial struggle. V Ponnuraj, deputy commissioner and police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh visited the spot.

The ship which now needs refueling will get assistance from local shipping company only after a detailed verification from coastal security guard. Formalities such as customs clearance and detailed verification of all the documents too need to be undertaken.

It can be recalled that two ships were caught in danger and sank near the spot in earlier incidents.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು:ಜು,27. ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ತಣ್ಣೀರು ಬಾವಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಕು ಸಾಗಣಿಕೆಯ ವಿದೇಶಿ ಹಡಗೊಂದು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಹವಾಮಾನ ವೈಪರಿತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ತೀರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅಪಾಯ ಕಾರಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಕೆಲಕಾಲ ಆತಂಕ ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಇಂದು ನಡೆಯಿತು.

"ಆಂಡ್ರೀನ್ ಗ್ರೀಸ್"ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಸರಕು ಸಾಗಟದ ಈ ಹಡಗು ಇಂಡೋನೆಶಿಯಾದಿಂದ (ಜಕಾರ್ತ್) ಇರಾನ್ ಗೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು,ಇಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಹವಾಮಾನ ವೈಪರಿತ್ಯದಿಂದಾಗಿ(ವಿಪರಿತ ಬಿಸಿ ವಾತವರಣ) ಹಡಗಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಇಂಧನ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿ ಉಂಟಾದ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ದೋಷ ದಿಂದ ಇಂಜೀನ್ ಕೆಟ್ಟು ನಿಂತ ಹಡಗು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಅಲೆಗಳ ರಭಸಕ್ಕೆ ತಣ್ಣೀರುಬಾವಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಲಿದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಅಪಾಯ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

ಆದರೆ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಘಟನೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಕರಾವಳಿ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಪಡೆಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಕೆಲವು ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಸತತ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಅಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾದ ಹಡಗನ್ನು 6ನಾಟಿ ಕಲ್ಲು ಮೈಲಿ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಂಗರು ಹಾಕಲಾಯಿತು.

ಸರಕು ಮುಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಈ ಹಡಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವೂದೇ ಸರಕುಗಳಿರದೇ 8ಜನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಇದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ.ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗಮಿಸಿದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾದ್ಯಮದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಈ ಹಡಗಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು.ಬಳಿಕ ವಷ್ಟೇ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ತಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಯುಕ್ತ ಸೀಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಇದೀಗ ಅಪಾಯ ಎದುರಿಸಿ ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಹಡಗು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿದೆ.

ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ 3ಹಡಗುಗಳು (ಡೆಂಡನ್, ಚಾಂಗ್-ಲೆ-ಮನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಏಷಿಯಾನ್ ಫಾರೆಸ್ಟ್ ) ಅಪಾಯ ಎದುರಿಸಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ 2ಹಡಗು(ಡೆಂಡನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಚಾಂಗ್-ಲೆ-ಮನ್) ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಬಹುದು.
