Udupi : We follow the Hindutva preached by Mahatma Gandhi. BJP follows Hindutva preached by Veer Savarkar. RSS born in the year around 1951, but we got independence prior to RSS. There was large Congress peoples contribution to bring independence to the country where lot of freedom fighters contributed their life for bring Independence. Not a single person of RSS or BJP contributed to get Independence to our country instead they killed Mahatma Gandhiji, said leader of opposition in Karnataka Legislative Assembly and former chief minister Siddaramaiha.

Prior to the public meeting at Padubidri near here on February 22, “Janadhwani” padayatra kicked off at Hejmady against the awareness on state government and central government failure to control the price rise, farm ordinance and anti-people policies. The 108 km long Janadhwani padayatre by Udupi district Congress committee will culminate at Byndoor on 27th February 27.

Siddaramaiha joined the padayatre at Padubidri and inaugurated the public meeting. In his address Siddaramaiha said that Congress leaders who are Deshbakhts to bring Independence to the country. How can we learn Deshbakhts from BJP? Those who teach Deshbakhts, need to learn the history. Narendra Modi was born after the independence of the country. He should need to study the history of India. Modi said ‘na kavunga na kane dunga’. But there is difference between saying and doing the job, he said.

Modi said that he have 75 inch heart. The farmers of the country are losing their lives in the protest against farm ordinance where more than 200 farmers died during the protest. Farmers are country’s annadathas. Farmers are the backbone of the country. He asks Modi that where is your heart to listen the farmers who fighting for their cause. BJP leaders have no confidence in democracy. The central government brought farm ordinance in urgency. What is needed to bring the bill with urgency during the corona pandemic without discussing in parliamentary board, he asks.

Siddaramaiha said that Yuddyurappa is the biggest liar in the history of the state. When the state budget of Rs. 2,37,000 crore, the state government spent for corona only 6,000 crore. In that also 50% of Rs. 6000 crore consumed for their self purpose. When the poor people have ask the money for the development of roads and other works, the state government saying that there is no money. Then how the state can develop, he asks.

Some people said that Siddaramaiha is against the Sri Rama. He said in my name there is Rama. Like Mahatma Gandhi, I am also the Rambaksht. Those who killed Mahatma Gandhi are not possible to have Deshbakhts. The son of Dasharath was Ram who is everywhere. He is not at Ayodhya only. I can believe Sri Ram in our place itself.

He said that Mangaluru is the laboratory of communism unrest and casteism. After BJP came to power, they created the fire of caste. Human beings should not hate human beings. Everyone should be loved which is the primary duty of everyone.

Congress party fulfilled all the promises during our rule in the state. We provided 7kg rice per person in ration card. But BJP government has reduced two kg rice out of seven kg. If we come to power, we will give 10 kg rice. So remove the corrupted BJP government in the state and keep away the Hindutva senses for the development of the poor people. During Indira Gandhi rule, she nationalized some commercial banks for the benefit of poor people. But present government has gone to merge with other banks. During Deveraj Urs, he brought the bill that those who work in the field of agriculture, they are the owners of land for the purpose of poor people. But BJP brought farm ordinance for their “Hum Do Hamare Do’ capitalists for their benefit instead farmers benefit, he said.

Earlier, Vinay Kumar Sorake former minister and Naseer Hussain Rajya Sabha MP spoke during the occasion. Ashok Kumar Kodavoor welcomed the gatherings.

Pratapchandra Shetty former Chairman of legislative council, Government of Karnataka, Abhaychandra Jain, Ramanath Rai and Pramod Madhwaraj former ministers, KPCC panelit Manjunath Bhandary, UT Khader MLA, Moideen Bava former MLA, Mithun Rai Dakshina Kannada Youth Congress president, Saurabh Ballal, Udupi district NSUI president, Veronica Cornelio, Deepak Kotian Udupi Youth Congress president, M A Gafoor senior congress leader, Pushpa Manjunath State Mahila Congress president, Geetha Wagle Udupi district Mahila Congress, block congress presidents and others were present on the dais.
