St. Theresa Church Kemmannu-Vespers Celebrations
 
Kemmannu, January 07, 2020:
St. Theresa Church, Kemmannu celebrated the Vespers eve on Tuesday 7th January.

The Cheryl, the image of the saint was blessed at the Kemmannu Bridge and brought to the church in a colorful disciplined procession; Fr. Reginald Pinto, Director of ‘Sampada’ delivered a brief message in Kannada about Patron Saint St. Theresa. The procession passed through the Kemmannu Street. Shopkeepers and residents of the houses beside the roads lit candles and decorated the path in respect of the saint.

Rikshaw Owners and Drivers Association lit up the area near the Bridge and distributed soft drinks and showed their involvement in the ceremony and  procession. 

At the church, on vespers evening Fr.Reginald led the adoration of the sacred sacrament and delivered a powerful homily about the word of God and the word of man relating to the recent laws like Citizens Amendment Act. Around 15 priests joined him on the altar.

All Vespers arrangements were done under the guidance of Parish Priest Fr. Victor D’ Souza with Church V P Mr. Charles Lewis, Secretary Mrs. Felcy D’ Souza and Parish Council Members.
