Let the unity of senior players be an example to the youth - Gautham Shetty

Alfred Crasto felicitated by Udupi District Tennis Cricket Association.

Kemmannu/Udupi, Jan 6, 2024: - Under the auspices of Team Kemmannites, under the leadership of Mr. Alfred Crasto, a sports promoter based in Kemmannu/Kenya, a KPL Super League cricket tournament was organized on January 6. 2024 at the Kemmannu St. Philomena School ground for the benefit of the senior players’ association (Kemmannu Cricketers).

Gautam Shetty, President of Tennis Cricket Association, who participated as the chief guest in the closing ceremony of the tournament, said, "The Udupi District Tennis Cricket Association is a clear example of how the unity of senior players can create a wave of improvement in sports. Through this, a platform has been created for the talent of the players from the rural level of Udupi district, Let the unity of senior players be an example for the youth."

Mr. Shetty felicitated Mr. Alfred Crasto, Nairobi/Kenya with an honorary Patron of the Udupi District tennis cricket association. Mr. Crasto thanked the association and dedicated all the honors to Kemmannu Cricketers and thanked all senior players who traveled far and near and made the day memorable with friendly matches.

3 teams were formed under the captaincy of Mr. K. P. Shetty, Mr. Braan and Mr. Yadav Nayak. Players from Kenya, England, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, US and other countries participated in the exhibition match.

Mr. Maxim Saldanha, Arthur Lewis, Nagraj Kemmannu, Leslie D’souza, overseas travellers participated for the first time along with many local and international ex-Kemmannu Cricketers.
