Kemmannu, January 08: Annual Parish Feast of Kemmannu Parish patron saint St.Theresa was celebrated on Wednesday, the 8thJanuary at Kemmannu church.

On the feast day, Murdom of the feast Mr.Clive Saldanha and family were accorded a ceremonial welcome by the parish priest at the church at 10 am. ‘Manacho Vaati’, blessed candles were distributed to church Founders, Benefactors, Donors and to all parish families. Bishop of Udupi Diocese Most Rev.Dr. Gerald Issac Lobo led the high mass with host of other guest priest joining him at the altar.

 Fr. Dennis D’Sa, uncle priest of the President delivered a powerful homily dwelling on the family life, the evils associated with the present modern world and the effects they have on marriages.

At the end of the Festive Mass, Rev. Fr.Clement Mascarenhas conveyed the greetings of the annual parish feast to all parishioners residing in kemmannu as well as in other cities of India and abroad. He thanked the chief celebrant Bishop of Udupi Diocese Most Rev.Dr. Gerald Issac Lobo  and other priests who participated in the festive mass. He also expressed gratitude to all the office bearers and members of different parish associations and parishioners in general.

 At the end of the mass, Mrs. Irene Cornelio of Kambla Thotta was crowned as the Murdom (Pirgenth) of the next years feast. They were crowned by the Parish Priest Fr. Clement Mascarehas. People exchanged greetings and shared the love of the feast.

The three day programs arrangement were co-ordinated by parish priest Fr.Clement Mascarenhas, Church VP Mr. Ronald Menezes and Secretary Mrs. Grace Machado along with parish council members, Gurkars, ICYM, YCS and other church associations.

Following the end of the feast mass, people were seen greeting each other and many visiting different stalls. The ICYM and YCS Units had set up stalls with lucky games, Goat draw,Housie Housie games
