I fully agree with Jossey (Mumbai / Mapusa). Ours is the most corrupt state in the globe. But remember heads are rolling. Colour white or saffron is not the barometer to measure ones honesty. Do you think all your preachers who are in white grab are in fact saffron and unclean as you assume. Who you think will confirm your enquiry? Please talk to the Lokayuktha of Karnataka, past or present who will probably clear your doubt.

My INTENTION, and request, Mr. Kumar, is that these anonymous people may also help those dying children due to famine/starvation (No food night or day)..... I am sure they must be helping, indeed. Yes, I can fast, I used to fast, gulping boiled rice water while smelling salt and green chilly chutney for many years. By the way, as the title of this article reveals, those pictures are of Ifthar Feasts, anyway.

Mr.James comments hurts the people who knows the facts, it reveals his intention. I dont think he is unaware of reality. Dubai temperature is more than 48C, fasting from 4.15AM to 7.15 PM, 15 hrs.without a drop of water, most of them working at sites, just imagine Mr.James,can you fast a single day?, I enjoy my evening observing people get together for iftar, rich poor at the ground waiting for azan, What a pleasant scene. About wastage I see every day around 300 people with negligible wastage.

Though myself and Sadananda Gowda differ in ages,we did our SSLC in the same institution and that Board High School Sullia.The last time I met him at my brothers house in Sullia when my brother celebrated his 25th Wedding Anniversary and nice to see Mr.Sadananda Gowda was with us having the lunch. And as the rememberence I took a photo of him with all the good old friends of him.This photo I do have this as a mark of his rememberence.And he had that same smile at that too.Finally being a school mate of him, I wish him good luck and hope under his Chief Ministership our Sullia taluk and our State will get better facilities.

Today we muslims are going far away from the logic behind the Islamic rituals. The one among few purpose of fasting is to feel the hunger of a person who cannot have full stomach meal. There is growing concern among muslims about wastage of food during Ramadan. A normal person can eat maximum 450 grams of food after iftar, but everybody wants their platter should be more than 2kg and rest 1.5 kg goes in bins. Hence i request my fellow muslim brothers to repect the food provided by Allah and donot waste the food. The above pictures shows the food infront of a person lot more than required and i think half of biryani from thier platter goes to bin.

I am pained with such comments. Let us learn to respect one another’s religion and live in Harmony.
