Udupi : As many as 109 new positive cases and two deaths which 34 year old male from Karkala taluk and 76 years old male from Udupi taluk for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Wednesday, July 28. Active cases are increased to 892.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 109 covid positive cases, 74 cases reported as symptomatic which 39 are male and 35  are female, meanwhile out of 35 cases of asymptomatic are 22  male 13 are female. 

Among 98 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 45, from Kundapura 20, Karkala taluk is 44 and from other districts is 0.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 11 and at Home Isolation are 98. Total active cases today are 892.

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave on 27.07. 2021 are 4816 and total tested on second wave till 27.07.2021 is 403766. Total first wave and second wave tested are 772007. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 28.07.2021 during second wave are 86 and total discharges on second wave are 44571.  Total discharges in the district are 67992.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  One death reported on second wave occurred today on Wednesday on 27.07.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 223.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 413. Total positives in first wave are 23421. Total positive in second wave is 45687 . Total positives in the district are increased to 69298.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Wednesday 18 to 44 years first dose  are 1995 and cumulative total 161740, second dose 345, cumulative second dose 4125, above 45 years Ist dose are 1422 and cumulative total 310795, IInd dose 1367 and cumulative total 151531, for HCW’s Ist dose 11 and cumulative total is 23558 and IInd dose 8, cumulative total is 19573, FLW’s Ist dose are 8 which cumulative total is 8082 and IInd dose 14 and cumulative total is 4067. Total today Ist dose are 3430 which cumulative total is 504175 and for IInd dose are 1734 people and cumulative total 179296.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till on 28.07.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till 28.07.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till 28.07.2021 is 6, other districts is 2, Till 28.07.2021 is 35. One death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till 28.07.2021. A total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till 28.07.2021 is 32. Total cases in the district are 46. Total active cases are 9.
