Udupi : As many as 89 new positive cases for COVID-19 and one death which 67 year old male from Udupi taluk reported in Udupi district on Wednesday, September 15. Total discharges today 121 and active cases 1526.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 89 covid positive cases, 48 cases reported as symptomatic which are 24 male and 24 are female, meanwhile out of 41 cases of asymptomatic  20 are  male and 21 are female. 

Among 89 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 47, from Kundapura 14 Karkala taluk is 28 and from other districts is nil. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 12 and at Home Isolation are 77. Total active cases today are 1526.

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 14.09.2021 are 5925 and total tested on second wave till 14.09.2021 is 694730. Total first wave and second wave tested are 1062971. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 15.09.2021 during second wave are 121 and total discharges on second wave are 49941.  Total discharges in the district are 73362.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. One death reported on second wave occurred today on Wednesday on 15.09.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 270.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 460.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 51737. Total positives in the district are increased to 75348.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Wednesday for 18 to 44 years first doses are 2125 and cumulative total 4002235, second dose 2268, cumulative second dose 79040, above 45 years Ist dose are 1091 and cumulative total  409705, IInd dose 3212 and cumulative total 225867 for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23570 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 20763, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8079 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total  is 4346. Total today Ist dose are 3216 which cumulative total is 843589, 2nd dose 5480, Cumulative total 329993.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 15.09.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 15.09.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 15.09.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till today 15.09.2021 is 41. No death occurred today for black fungus. Six deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 15.09.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 52. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 46. Active cases are 0.
