Mangalore:  Shri Nagabrahma  Annapoorneshwari  Kshetra, Kolya  organised  “ Ashtapavitra Nagamandalothsava  " at Kolya Near  Someshwara  Thokkottu Saturday   night, ’Astapavithra Nagamandala Seva ’ program  was performed in a very  grand manner here under the guidance of  Nagapathri Vedamoorthi  Sagri Gopalakrishna  Samaga, Vasuki Subrahmanya temple, Udupi,  ( Near the temple   premises   Kannada film  Actor  Vinod  Alvas ground). An estimated 45,000 people are   attended this religious event.

From 26-1-2016  religious ritual programs like  Dwadasha  Nareekela Ganayaga ,  Pawamana   Homa , Kushmanda Homa  , Kalashabisheka ,  Ashlesha Bali , Mahapooja , Duragahoma Ashleshabali Homa, etc., were performed.

In the 30 th Ashtapavithra  Nagamandala  day afternoon, about  thousands  devotees took part in the naga pooja and Anna Santharpane
Under the guidance  of  Negapathri Vedamoorthi Sagri Gopalakrishna Samaga, Vasuki Subrahmanya temple, Udupi   and  Andala Jagadish  Bhat  Marakada Vedic Scholari , various cultural and religious festivities were conducted. Nagapathri  Vedamoorthi  Sagri Gopalakrishna Samaga   performed the ’Naga Nartana Seve  and  Muddur Krishnaprasad Vaidya and team performed the ’Damaru Seve’.’Prasadam’ was distributed in  the morning.

Although the Nagamandala seve held on Saturday, preparations  started from Tuesday  with the "Haseeruvani horekanike" procession   from Thokkottu Kallapu Naga  Temple  to the venue.After various early morning rituals, "Ugrana Muhurtha", an important part of the seve,  observed on Wednesday. The rituals  throughout the day and extend until noon on Saturday .

"Maha anna santharpane", a programme of mass feeding, an integral part of the nagamandala seve where thousands of people are attended  12.30 p.m. onwards  Saturday .Shree Shree Ravishankar Guruji, Spiritual leader and the founder of Art of Living  who inaugurated the religious meeting organized on the occasion by lighting Lamp  Vidyaprasanna Thirtha Swamiji -  Samputa  Narasimha  Mutt  Kukke Subramanya,  delivered  a religious message at the function in the evening  said  Nagamandala was one of the “naga aradhana prakaras” (forms of serpent worship) found in coastal Karnataka and Kerala, Coastal district of Karnataka maintained the divinity and religiousness. .Sri  Sathish Shetty  Gurme  Presided.  U. T. Khader  minister for Health and Family Welfare in Karnataka, Sri Nalin Kumar  Kateel ,  Sri Vinod Alwa Actor  Kannada Film Sri  B  Ramanath  Rai  Karnataka Minister For Forest , Vedamoorthy Sagri Gopalakrishna Samaga    Sri  Bhaskar  Ithal  etc., were present.
All formed Samithys  are worked hard for success of event , volunteers performance was very good
