Print PADUBIDRI : “ The District in-charge Minister VS Acharya should step down from office and the Governor should then order for a judicial probe into the irregularities resorted to by the contraversial UPCL,” demanded Vijaykumar Hegde, District President of the Raitha Sangha.
He said the Raitha Sangha and the people affected by the UPCL plant would be jointly organizing a Barkolu movement in front of the residence of Acharya on April 8 in order to draw the attention of the government towards the misdeeds of the District Minister.
“ Acharya has brought disrepute to the revered post of district in-charge minister and has also lost the faith of the people. He has failed to discharge the responsibilities shouldered on him. The people have until now been silent to Acharya’s plans to convert the entire coastal belt into a garbage bin. Now his atrocities have crossed all limits,” Hegde said.
He further said the government was giving scope to the land mafia to loot the precious lands of the farmers in the mega of mega projects like SEZ, PCPIR and UPCL. “The government restricting the area of jurisdiction of the Western Ghat Task force only to Uttara Kannada district and DK District is also a step motherly attitude of the government towards Udupi district. Acharya’s hand is clearly visible behind this,” Hegde said.
Raitha Sangha Secretary Shashidhar Shetty Ellur, Ashok Poojari, Y Balachandra, Aithappa Poojari and other office bearers were present.

Dr. Kiran Acharya,
I know you are the son of Dr. V.S.Acharya and it hurts when some one accuses your father.
However, we people in Karnataka are not DUMB.
If I were to say Yeddurappa, Reddy, Hallapa and rest of the gang are innocent I would be saying a big lie.
The biggest problem of UPCL is fly ash and I had given a detailed report in daijee explaining how to sort out this problem. I did get responses but this government does not have any inclination to implement.
One final word Kiran, This government is no better than Alibaba aur 40 chor  Agree[0]

| Facts to be studied before commenting without basis. UPCL was permitted by previous governments led by Congress and JDS. At present power shortage is a reality.
Just blaming a political leader, without realizing his contribution to the state district is not fair.

SO IN THE CASE OF ACHARYA. AS A HOME MINISTER, THERE WAS NO LAW AND ORDER UNDER ACHARYA. EVERYWHERE GOONDAGIRI AND DADAGIRI. THEN HE WAS SHIFTED TO EDUCATION.
A PERSON WHO IS NOT EDUCATED FOR THE POST WHAT CAN HE EDUCATE OTHERS ? GOD KNOWS HOW HE BECAME DOCTOR AND IS CALLED DR. V.S. ACHARYA ?
