Ayodhya countdown begins: DC urges people to maintain law and order

Mangaluru: Ahead of the crucial Supreme Court verdict in the Ayodhya dispute case, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Sindhu B Rupesh has requested the people of the Dakshin Kannada to maintain law and order in the District.

Addressing a press conference at her office along with other top officials of District Administration, Sindhu said, “The verdict on the Ayodhya dispute can come any moment now. It is natural for people to be anxious or have expectations from the verdict.

“However, whatever be the decision of the Supreme Court, I appeal to everybody to respect it and to maintain peace and harmony in the region” she added.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner, Dr PS Harsha said that verdict from the Apex Court will be binding and its credibility should not be questioned irrespective of the outcome of the verdict.

Meanwhile, right-wing activist Sharan Pumpwell said, “People should refrain from making any controversial statements verbally or on the social media platform. Whatever be the decision of the Supreme Court we will support it.”
