National Conference in University College Mangaluru

Department of PG Studies in Economics University College Mangaluru and Mangalore University Economics Association(MUEA) proposed to organize a National Conference with a theme " Indian Economy in Transition: Prospects and Challenges of Cooperatives" on 19th and 20th  February 2020.

The objectives of the Conference are to examine the significance of cooperatives in rural development and agricultural growth in India. A keynote address will be delivered by Director of RBI Mr. Sathish Marathe, Dr. M.N Rajendra Kumar President of SCDCC Bank, Mangalore will inaugurate the conference. Mr. S.R Sathishchandra, President of the CAMPCO Ltd, Mr. E.S.S.R Ramachander, Deputy General Manager of Bank of Baroda, Mr. Harish Achar, President of Vishwakarma Cooperative Bank are guests of honour. Prof P.S Yadapadithaya Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University will preside over the function. Director of the Institute of Rural Management Anand is taking part in the conference as a resource person.   Delegates from academics, research institutions and cooperatives are involved in the Conference. Research papers will be presented at the conference.
