Former Chairman of Bharat Bank - M.B Kuckian EXPIRED

MUMBAI (RBI), July 9: The Billawara Association Mumbai its former Vice President and Former Chairman & Director of Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited, Billawara Associations Akshay Monthly’s Honorary Editor Mr. M. B Kuckian (85.) died Today early Morning at a brief illness at Fortis Hospital in Navi Mumbai.

Mahabala Bhooba Kuckian (knowingly M.B Kuckian), a progressive thinker, journalist, poet, storyteller, columnist, businessman, donor and social worker, originally belonged to Mangalore Moodushedde Jara. After attending Mumbai’s Kuckian Hotel for the small age, he worked in canteens and was educated at night school, pursuing an MA in Kannada literature, business and business with an interest in social service.

Many works have been brought to the world of literature. He wrote and published around 16 Books. He was honored by many associations, including the Hrudayavahini Magazine Award, The Jayanti Kurkal Sahitya Award, by Chembur Karnataka Sangha, the Sadhana Shikhar Award by the Karnataka Sangha Mumbai, and the Journalist of the Year Award by the Kannada Art Center Mumbai.

He was the President of the Navi Mumbai Kannada Association, the Vice President of the Sahitya Parishad Maharashtra Unit and Patron Member of The Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra.

Mahavier Amrut Building of Navi Mumbai Sanpada Palm Beach Road, where the deceased lived with his wife, Two Sons and a Girl, is enormous. M B Kuckian’s body was brought to his residence earlier in the day and placed on public display. Billawara Association Mumbai President Chandrashekhar S.Poojary  and the officers and relatives paid their last respects to Homage. The funeral was held in the evening at Chembur.

ಮುಂಬಯಿ (ಆರ್‍ಬಿಐ), ಜ.09: ಬಿಲ್ಲವರ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಶನ್ ಮುಂಬಯಿ ಇದರ ಮಾಜಿ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ, ಭಾರತ್ ಕೋ.ಅಪರೇಟಿವ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ (ಮುಂಬಯಿ)  ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‍ನ ಮಾಜಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ, ಮಾಜಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ, ಬಿಲ್ಲವರ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಶನ್‍ನ ಮುಖವಾಣಿ ಅಕ್ಷಯ ಮಾಸಿಕದ ಗೌರವ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಸಂಪಾದಕ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಕುಕ್ಯಾನ್ (85.) ಇಂದಿಲ್ಲಿ ಶನಿವಾರ ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ನವಿ ಮುಂಬಯಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಫೆÇೀರ್ಟಿಸ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಪಕಾಲದ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯದಿಂದ ನಿಧನರಾದರು.

ಬೃಹನ್ಮುಂಬಯಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರಗತಿಪರ ಚಿಂತನಾ ಸಾಹಿತಿ, ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ, ಕವಿ, ಕಥೆಗಾರ, ಅಂಕಣಕಾರ, ಉದ್ಯಮಿ, ದಾನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮಹಾಬಲ ಬೂಬ ಕುಕ್ಯಾನ್ (ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಕುಕ್ಯಾನ್) ಮೂಲತಃ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಮೂಡುಶೆಡ್ಡೆ  ಜಾರದ ಮನೆತನದರು. 1950ನೇ ವರ್ಷ ಮುಂಬಯಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದ ಕುಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಹೊಟೇಲು ನಂತರ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪೂರೈಸಿ, ದುಡಿಮೆ, ಉದ್ಯಮಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂ.ಎ, ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದÀರು.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಅನೇಕ ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸೌಗಂಧಿಕ, ಪಾವಾಣೆ, ಸೌರಭ, ಪೂವಕ್ಕನ ತೂಟೆ, ಸೌಪರ್ಣಿಕ, ಮೋಸದ ಬೀದಿಗಳು, ಸಾಮಾಯಿಕ, ಮೋಸದ ತಿರುವುಗಳು, ಸಾಂಪ್ರತ, ಮೋಸದ ಮುಖಗಳು, ಸಂಪಾದಿತ ಕೃತಿ (ಅಪೂರ್ವ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕ, ಕಲಾ ಪೆÇೀಷಕ ಜಯ ಸಿ.ಸುವರ್ಣರ ಬದುಕು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆ 2010), ಸಂಜೀವನ, ಸಪ್ತಸ್ವರ, ಸುಮ ಸೌಸವ, ನೆನಪಿನ ಬೆಳಕಲ್ಲಿ, ಮುಕ್ಕಾಲ್, ನವಹೆಜ್ಜೆ, ಸಚೇತನ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಕವನ, ಅಂಕಣ ಬರಹ, ಕಥೆಸಂಕಲನ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ (ಸುಮಾರು 16 ಕೃತಿಗಳು) ಕುಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಪೆÇೀಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹೃದಯವಾಹಿನಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಹೃದಯವಂತರು, ಚೆಂಬೂರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಘ ಸಂಯೋಜಿತ ಜಯಂತಿ ಕುರ್ಕಾಲ್ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಘ ಮುಂಬಯಿ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಾಧನಾ ಶಿಖರ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮುಂಬಯಿ ಮುಖೇನ ವರ್ಷದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಘ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.  

ನವಿ ಮುಂಬಯಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪರಿಷತ್ತ್ ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಘಟಕದ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ಕನ್ನಡಿಗ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಸಂಘ ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಇದರ ಅಜೀವ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರು ನಾರಾಯಣ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜತ್ವದ ಗುರು ನಾರಾಯಣ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಅಂಕ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಥಿರ್sಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ವರ್ಣ ಪದಕ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಕರಾಗಿ, ಬಡ ವಿದ್ಯಾಥಿರ್sಗಳ ದತ್ತಿ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರದ ಅಮೃತ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ನಿಧಿ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೈದಾನಿಯಾಗಿ ಜನಾನುರೆಣಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ನವಿ ಮುಂಬಯಿ ಸಾನ್ಪಾಡಾ ಪಾಮ್ ಬೀಚ್ ರೋಡ್ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಹಾವೀರ್ ಅಮೃತ್ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮೃತರು ಪತ್ನಿ, ಎರಡು ಗಂಡು  ಒಂದು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅಪಾರ ಬಂಧು ಬಳಗವನ್ನು ಅಗಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಕುಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಅವರ ಪಾರ್ಥೀವ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ವಾಹ್ನ ಅವರ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಗಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಇರಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬಿಲ್ಲವರ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಶನ್ ಮುಂಬಯಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಎಸ್.ಪೂಜಾರಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಬಂಧುಗಳು ಅಂತಿಮ ನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಂಜಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಅಂತ್ಯಕ್ರಿಯೆಯು ಸಂಜೆ ಚೆಂಬೂರು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ರುದ್ರಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
