Bruce Lee’s daughter appreciated Cheetah Yagnesh Shetty personally when he celebrated Bruce Lee’s birth anniversary last year. Cheetah is back with a lot more enthusiastic students from all over India who will be attending Bruce Lee’s 71^st Birth anniversary event on 27^th Nov 2011 at Andheri Sports complex.

 Everyone will be planting a sapling which according to CHEETAH is symbolic as ‘The BRUCE LEE TREE’. A tree he vows to take care of throughout his life. The stars present will give away 71 saplings to martial art students to mark the celebration.

Mr. N.B. Mote, Deputy Director of sports, Maharashtra Govt will award the winners of the championship competition held the same day. This will motivate the more than 1000 students who will be coming from all over the country and as far off as Nepal, to participate in the competition.

This year the reason for celebration is twice as much as Cheetah Jeet Kune Do has got an affiliation from the Karate-Do Federation and Olympic Association of India. Cheetah’s style of Jeet Kune Do is being learnt by students in more than 390 centers across 21 states with an ever increasing strength of young aspirants. Cheetah reiterates that he has been fortunate to get the constant support of Corporate houses, Celebrities, Media and others on occasions like this.

Cheetah Yagnesh is now working towards getting recognition from School Games Federation of India to make his style accessible to each and every child in the country.

Cheetah has been making persistent efforts to teach Martial art across nation and simultaneously promoting it as an art that originated in India. He has been consistently working towards organizing platforms for Martial art students to showcase their talent to the world.

The celebrations last year had a 70 feet tall cutout of Bruce Lee painted by more than 270 school children. This received an over whelming appreciation from the Bruce Lee foundation and got a place on the front cover of an International magazine of the Martial art community.

Cheetah Yagnesh started the celebration of the birthday of Bruce lee , way back in 1980 albeit on a small scale. The passing of each year and the ever growing popularity of his martial art technique “Cheetah Jeet Kune Do” has motivated Cheetah to honor his idol by celebrating his birth anniversary on a large scale. The support and participation of students, stars, media, corporate houses and many individuals hopes to make this celebration a grand success. Let’s hope to see many more celebrations of this kind which not only honors one of the greatest men this world has seen but also inculcates in children values like Discipline, focus and dedication.
