Udupi :Jan, 11. Udupi district police, regional transport office and Lions club Udupi will be celebrating one week traffic safety week from 21 January to 28. This year the slogan of the week including “accident brings tears safety brings cheer” .on the basis of this the week day wise programmes were designed. This programme was created for to controlling the accident and to creating awareness in common people. 

On 21st January 10 am the traffic  safety week  will be inaugurate  by Deputy commissioner Dr M T Reju, Superintendent of police Dr Y S Ravikumar,mjf Jayakar Shetty Indrali  lions governor and other will participate on the inaugural function. On this day blood donation camp, blood sugar, blood pressure and bone density check up to drivers will be get started at lions club Brahmagiri. Drawing and essay competition regarding road safety for high school and PUC students on 22nd January it will be held at adiudupi high school near RTO office adiudupi Udupi at 10am to 12.30pm.on 23rd January at 6.30pm to 8pm CD screening programme will be present at Udupi  service bustand regarding causes of accidents safety driving and prevention of accidents.

At muniyal on 25th January  at 3pm at 5pm causes of accidents safety driving and prevention of accidents and rules of the road regulations by experts will give a talk on the topic and in shirva on 27th January same topic will discuss by experts. On 28th the concluding programme will done on this day experts provides many informations about   responsibility of owner of the vehicles,drivers,pedestrians and other road users. Impact on the family of the victims of accidents.cognising and honoring the accident free drivers of transport vehicle and finally the prize distribution to the winners who have participated in drawing and essay competition said Ramesh HN transport officer RTO Udupi in the pressmeet.
