Mumbai:Narsimha Jayanthi was celebrated by Koota Mahajagathu Saligrama, Mumbai Angasamsthe on 4^th May 2012 at Gokul Sion.

The  celebration started  in the morning with  Narasimha Homa and Gana Homa. This  was performed by the Purohit Ganesh Mayya. The couple who sat for the pooja were Smt and Shri Janardhana Mayya of Dombivali.  All the arrangement for the pooja along with the  beautifully  made rangoli mandala was ready by 9:30 AM.  Sankalpa  was made in presence of  the committee members present, wherein purohit explained the significance of Homa and prayed for the all round benefit of Koota Bandhus.  The rituals began at 10:00 AM and continued till  12:30. Later everyone was served with theertha-prasad and lunch.

All the committee members  were present throughout  the day and managed various activities of the day. viz. Shri M R Mayya- President, Shri UN Aithal – Vice President, Shri PCN Rao – secretary, Shri HK Karanth – Jt Secretary, Shri Ramesh M Rao – Treasurer,  Shri Nagaraj Uppunda, Shri A Suryanarayana Rao, Shri K Narayan Rao – Members.

KMMA came into existence in year 2009.  The 3^rd AGM was conducted in the afternoon. Yearly report and account were  presented to the members. President Shri M R Mayya briefed on various services carried out  by KMMA – Marriage bureau, Guru Narasimha Vani Magazine, Free Medial Camp, Donation of Clothes to Ramakrishna Mission , toys to Orphanage and asked members to come forward to contribute in activities.  Also spoke on Koota Maha Public Charitable Trust for supporting education.

Evening program started at 5:30 PM with Smt & Shri Goplala Somayaji singing bhakti geete . Later bhajan was rendered by  BSKBA`s Gokula kalavrunda – Ladies Bhajan Group- where in  12 members participated which included Smt  Prema Rao, Smt  Tara Rao, Smt Shylini Rao, Smt Kalanidhi Ballal. Everyone enjoyed the cultural programme .

Evening Narasimha Jayanthi pooja was conducted along with BSKBA.  Smt and Shri Gopala Somayaji performed the pooja under the direction of  Gokul Purohit Shri Hari Bhat. The Narasimha Diety was nicely decorated with flower giving a very divine appearance. The one and half hour pooja ended around 7:30 PM. The mahamangalarthi with various types of arathi, chanting mantras,  beating of Dhol, Jagante - the sound of which was reverberating in the hall - was none less than the pooja being conducted at our native place.   Later Shri Hari Bhat explained the singinficance of performing the pooja .  After theertha prasada,  everyone was   served with the  Upahara.
